This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of the Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to Prequalified General, Mechanical & Electrical Contractors to submit bids for Craigleith Main Lift Station Upgradesas further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

Built on a strong foundation of agriculture and tourism, the success of the local economy has been driven largely by innovation and entrepreneurship across the sectors of agriculture, tourism, construction, small business and hospitality and service. 

The project includes upgrades to the Craigleith Main Lift Station. The following is a general, but not necessarily complete description of the Works to be constructed under this contract:

The project includes the following site works:

• Excavation, dewatering, backfilling, and disposal of excess materials,
• Temporary bypass pumping,
• Supply and installation of new yard piping as well as modifications of existing yard piping,
• Sanitary collection and forcemain construction.

The Craigleith Main Lift Station Upgrades include the replacement/refurbishment and provision of the following items: 

• Physical separation of the dry well from the main floor,
• Raw sewage pumps,
• Update process piping,
• Influent screening/grinding and material separation within the wet well,
• Electrical upgrades, emergency power and energy conservation,
• Odour control,
• Septage and leachate,
• Building modifications.
