This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of the Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Archaeological Assessment Services for the Moreau Park Revitalization Project, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix C) (the “Deliverables”). 

Moreau Park, located in Thornbury at 76 Victoria Street South, is an approximately 4.5-hectare operational park with three baseball diamonds, an off-leash dog park, a playground with jungle gym, and a skateboard park. The site is quite level and consists of a number of surface types including concrete at the skate park, gravel parking lots, and clay infield surface at the ball diamonds. Soils generally appear to be well draining. The Town of The Blue Mountains, herein referred to as “the Town”, is seeking submissions from qualified firms to provide Archaeological Investigation services of the subject property stage 1 and provisional stage 2 assessment of the archaeological potential of the property. The investigation must be completed by a licensed archaeologist in accordance with provisions found in the Ontario Heritage Act.
