Description:

This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of The Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Substandard Watermain Replacement Program – Phase 3, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The areas of work are located within the existing road allowance on Alice Street West, Baring Street, and Peel Street South, in Thornbury.

The work includes the installation of new, and replacement of existing, watermain, appurtenances, and service connections, and reinstatement of existing surfaces.

There are two culvert under-crossings required to install the new watermain on Alice Street West which are proposed to be completed by horizontal directional drilling.

The Town of The Blue Mountains is Canada’s second fastest growing municipality and serves as home to over 9,300 full-time residents, with an extensive part-time and seasonal population. Recognized as Ontario’s true four-season tourism and recreation destination, The Blue Mountains welcomes an additional 2.5 million visitors annually and offers a high-quality lifestyle that caters to families looking to build a solid foundation, adventurers looking to go off the beaten path and relaxation seekers taking in and experiencing the very best the area has to offer. Built on a strong foundation of agriculture and tourism, the success of the local economy has been driven largely by innovation and entrepreneurship across the sectors of agriculture, tourism, construction, small business and hospitality and service.
