This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of The Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Installation of Electric Vehicle Chargers, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Town of The Blue Mountains is Canada’s second fastest growing municipality and serves as home to over 9,300 full-time residents, with an extensive part-time and seasonal population. Recognized as Ontario’s true four-season tourism and recreation destination, The Blue Mountains welcomes an additional 2.5 million visitors annually and offers a high-quality lifestyle that caters to families looking to build a solid foundation, adventurers looking to go off the beaten path and relaxation seekers taking in and experiencing the very best the area has to offer. Built on a strong foundation of agriculture and tourism, the success of the local economy has been driven largely by innovation and entrepreneurship across the sectors of agriculture, tourism, construction, small business and hospitality and service.

The Town requires a qualified Electrical Contractor to install pre-purchased “Flo Inc” brand, level 2, high capacity (19kW) electrical vehicle chargers, on independent electrical circuits, in multiple locations within The Blue Mountains (Thornbury and Craigleith). The Contractor will be required to complete civil work and site restoration (pedestal footings, bollards), run electrical power from source to chargers and complete all required electrical work for chargers including testing and commissioning. The Town will also require the Contractor to calculate power load and account for the load in the installations.

The five (5) locations are in municipally owned parking lots. All locations, excluding one (1) , have an existing power source and panel on-site. One (1) location will require the installation of a new hydro service and a required panel to service the chargers.
