This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of the Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Arena Ice Refrigeration System Maintenance Program including Start-up and Shut-down at the Beaver Valley Community Centre Arena, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix C) (the “Deliverables”). The Town of The Blue Mountains (the “Town”) requires a qualified and experienced Contractor to provide annual maintenance, on-call and emergency repair services of the Arena Ice Refrigeration System located at the Beaver Valley Community Centre, 58 Alfred Street West, Thornbury. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, supervision, and equipment required to perform the annual and emergency maintenance required to ensure that the ice plant is operating safely, effectively and efficiently and in accordance with all applicable provincial and municipal regulations. The Town operates one (1) ice rink, located at the Beaver Valley Community Centre. The Community Centre is open year-round including Statutory Holidays. The Arena Ice Refrigeration System is typically in operation for 28 out of 52 weeks throughout the year with an ice season beginning mid-September through till end of March. The Arena Ice Refrigeration System is controlled and monitored by a PLC control system. The Contractor will be required to have PLC working knowledge to work in Conjunction with the Town's control services provider. Located between the Niagara Escarpment and the shores of Georgian Bay, the Town of The Blue Mountains is recognized as a premier four season destination offering a lifestyle as diverse as its natural surroundings.
