The Work to be provided by the successful Bidder is generally described as follows:

1. ·  Modifications to the existing headworks building including the construction of a building extension.
2. ·  Excavation and backfill for the construction of the building extension.
3. ·  Construction of a new concrete slab in the existing building.
4. ·  Demolition of the existing concrete channel inside the existing building.
5. ·  Demolition of the existing platform inside the existing building and construction of a new platform.
6. ·  Replacement of the existing screen with a new screen with a capacity of 14 MLD in the existing building.
7. ·  Replacement of the existing grit removal system (vortex chamber) and grit classifier with a new grit removal system (vortex chamber) with a capacity of 28 MLD complete with a new grit pump and a new classifier.
8. ·  Supply and installation of new piping and valves inside the existing building.
9. ·  Supply and installation of two (2) new drainage pumps inside the existing building.
10. ·  Installation of a new electrical feeder main between the administration building and the headworks building.
11. ·  Modifications to the existing MCCs inside the electrical room.
12. ·  Modifications to the electrical systems inside the existing building and new electrical systems inside the building extension.
13. ·  Instrumentation and control works including the integration with the SCADA system.
14. ·  Modification to the existing HVAC systems inside the existing building and new HVAC equipment inside the building extension.
15. ·  Replacement of a section of the existing Mill Street Pump Station forcemain and construction of as new section of forcemain.
16. ·  Construction of a new section of forcemain for the future Mill St Pump Station forcemain.
17. ·  Modifications to the existing Lakeshore Pump Station forcemain and construction of a new short section of forcemain.
18. ·  Removal of a section of the existing Mill St Pump Station forcemain and removal of an existing valve chamber.
19. ·  Removal of a section of the existing Lakeshore Pump Station forcemain and removal of an existing valve chamber.
20. ·  Construction of a short section of forcemain for a future leachate pump station.
21. ·  Construction of a sewage by-pass between the building and Lagoon 1.
22. ·  Construction of a new headworks effluent pipe and connection to the existing influent pipe to the aeration tanks;
23. ·  Repairs to the existing gravel road.
24. ·  General grading around the new building extension.
25. ·  All temporary work.

The specific requirements of the Work are provided in the specifications. It shall be the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that all items have been included, without repetition, in the submitted bid.
