This Request for Prequalification (“RFPQ”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the Town of The Blue Mountains (the “Town”) to prospective Respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide a Marine Contractor for the Construction of the Thornbury Wastewater Treatment Plant Effluent Outfall (Offshore Portion Only) as further described in Section A of the RFPQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). The Town is seeking to identify and shortlist, up to three (3) experienced and qualified Marine Outfall Contractors. Shortlisted Respondents will be invited to submit a tender for the Thornbury Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 1A Effluent Outfall (Offshore Portion Only). This project is to construct the offshore portion of the effluent outfall, starting at the flange adapter connection located at the Grey Steet North unopened road allowance on the north side of Bay Street (Thornbury, Ontario) to the new valve chamber, and extending 1500 m into Georgian Bay. The Town of The Blue Mountains is Canada’s second fastest growing municipality and serves as home to over 9,300 full-time residents, with an extensive part-time and seasonal population.
